Horseback Riding

May 22, 2016

The Sandhills area is known for a handful of things…one of those being our equine culture.

There is so much to be enjoyed in our area for the horse lover.  Kids especially have wonderful opportunities to learn to ride at various places.  If you’re looking for lessons, this short list should be a great starting point.  Each one of these was recommended by moms who have experienced them.  Let me know if you know of others public & private!

Southern Pines Riding School:  When asked about her experience at SPRS, mother of two boys, Lee Ann Graham said “We love it! Safe ponies and horses. Great instructors who can work with all levels from beginner to advanced. You can just ride for fun or you can go to competitions with a school horse or your own. A wonderful piece of property with new barn and they are in the process of installing dressage ring, jumper ring and a cross country jumps. Very relaxed and casual. Whitney, Naomi and Shelley are all awesome.”
